Hey everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by! My name is Heather, and I am here to share the love and passion that I have for food, fitness, and whole health. Here you will find a collection of recipes and work outs that I love/created sprinkled with some health and wellness tips that I have picked up along the way. I believe that eating healthy should not sacrifice taste and hopefully you will find that to be true with the recipes that I share.
I am currently working towards receiving my Health and Wellness Certification through NAFC. I am looking forward to sharing what I learn along the way to help others make small steps towards a healthier lifestyle. I believe everyone has the right to a healthy life which is why I am sharing my recipes and work outs with you at no cost.
I have been married to my best friend, Jason, since 2008 and have a wonderful son named Noah. They are my trusty taste testers! We live in Des Moines, Iowa along with our American Bulldog, Goliath.
In 2008, I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, an autoimmune disease in which gluten (the protein found in wheat, barley, and rye) “attacks” your immune system causing you to become ill. I needed to go on to a gluten-free diet and was forced to learn how to read labels carefully. This made me much more conscious of what is going into my body. I am hoping that I can help others struggling with the gluten free diet with alternatives to their favorite foods.
